Bellydancing, Oriental Dance or Raqs el Sharqi was introduced to Western civilizations in the 19th century, however it has been in existence since the time of ancient Egypt and is known as the world’s oldest surviving dance art form.

While an extremely enjoyable and fun way of keeping fit and reducing stress levels it is accessible for people of all ages and body types. You can learn and enjoy these movements, even if you have never danced before.

The rhythmic undulations characteristic of this dance will vitalize every part of the body as you stretch, twist and shimmy to the powerful and compelling music. The gentle and natural movements tone your entire musculature, resulting in a shapelier contour and improved posture as tight rigid torso muscles respond to exercise and dance movement allowing the body to become sinewy flexible and lithe. Experience new vistas in the motion of your body as you gain flexibility and mastery over previously unused muscles.
